Bird's Eye, Worm's Eye View
For the Bird's Eye, Worm's Eye project, students were instructed to take photos from different angles above and below their subjects. As the students' first assignment with their camera, Talie explored her light meter, ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Talie was instructed to compose the subject so it displayed the rule of thirds in a visually appealing way. Her favorite photo is "Leaf" because even though the leaf is not in a power point, it takes up a third of the picture. The leading lines also create a sense of chaos, yet the leaf settles the eye.
