Fallingwater Institute
Frank Lloyd Wright, born in 1867, designed the breathtaking home of the Kaufmanns in 1939 that we now know as Fallingwater. Through his over 1,000 structures, he made sure nature was incorporated somehow. Wright believed in organic architecture, or the idea that human habitation and the natural world should live in harmony. In 2019, Talie visited two buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Neutra VDL house, and the Guggenheim Museum and was so intrigued by his work, she wanted to learn more about his style of architecture. During the summer of 2020, Talie took two courses through Fallingwater Institute; drawing by hand and portfolio prep.
