Natural Light Portraits
For this project, Talie was instructed to take photos both outside and indoors without artificial light. She really liked this project because she got to shoot and share ideas with her friends while completing the project. The biggest challenge Talie faced was where to position her subjects because in some scenarios, the natural sunlight was too bright and had to consider where the shadows would be. Another thing she struggled with was making sure her backgrounds wouldn't distract the viewer from her main subject. In order to overcome these challenges, Talie took time and care into placing her subjects in the most effective positions. She is very happy with how her images came out, especially the last one: Apollo. Talie really likes how the right side of his face is beautifully lit while you can still see the left side of his face. Talie likes the contrast of the background against the dog's fur and how his right eye shines because of the light.
