Drawing By Hand
Frank Lloyd Wright’s sketches for Fallingwater were created by hand, using pencils, rulers, and scales. This course improved Talie's hand-drawing skills and helped her learn the basics of architectural drawing during group discussions, independent studio time, and individualized critiques. Throughout the week, Talie learned about geometric operations applied in architecture and nature by applying them squares, cubes and a kiwi. By the end of the week, Talie was able to use four of these operations to design her favorite room in her house without including furniture. These included puncture, carve, join, and branch.
